Matandani’s Trustees are responsible for the overall control and strategic direction of the charity. They are a vital part of our management structure and they have a keen interest to make Matandani a success.

Andy Monaghan
Andy MonaghanChairperson
Andy is the Founder and Chairperson of the project. He became involved with Matandani in 2014. Every year he has worked personally with the school while living there for over 12 months on two occasions.

Andy is a primary school teacher from Ireland. He has worked with VSO for 16 months as an Education Specialist, working with many government schools in Malawi with using technology in their schools to improve standards.

James Geaney
James GeaneyTrustee
James has been part of the project from the very beginning. He comes often to Malawi to assist in the developments at Matandani and loves tracking the progress he sees every year!

James is a primary school teacher from Ireland, who enjoys travelling, volunteering and climbing mountains.
Having arrived at Matandani on the 1st day this project really caught his imagination…

Tadhg O'Lionard

Tadhg has been with the Matandani project since it’s inception on July 1st, 2014. Similar to most of the other trustees, Tadhg is from Ireland and is a primary school Teacher.
Tadhg has been a great source of support for the Matandani project and has plans to come out and visit in person in the near future!
Olivia Logan
Olivia LoganTrustee
Olivia volunteered at Matandani in September 2017 while on a bicycle tour of Southern Africa. She continues to remain involved with Matandani from her home in Denver, Colorado.

Olivia holds a Masters degree in Integrative Health and Community Nutrition Education. Her background focuses on community programming and health promotion.
